Ok, I know I run a blog that focuses on green living and frugality, but I have a dirty secret: I hardly ever clip Sunday coupons.
I know, shocking right? But before the lynch mob forms, let me explain why I don’t clip coupons.
I don’t clip because the food that’s usually featured in the Sunday paper is food I don’t eat.
For instance, I’m not a meat eater. So all those coupons for Tyson chicken or hot dogs or lunch meat don’t apply to me. And, I hardly ever eat pre-packaged food. So, that’s out.
I also don’t buy regular cleaning products; I either make my own (with vinegar, baking soda, and lemons), or buy Seventh Generation.
As far as buying organic food is concerned, I do it when it pays off (See the in-depth article I wrote, “When Does It Pay To Buy Organic?” to learn which foods you should be paying extra for…). All this means that when I do use coupons, they’re ones I’ve gone online and searched for.
Coupons For Organic Food and Eco-Friendly Products?
The only bad thing with buying organic food is that there is rarely any coupons for these items. Well, until now.
Gayle at Affluent Pauper sent me an email over the weekend to let me know she’s compiled a list of coupons for organic food and eco-friendly products on her blog. Yahoo!
She’s going to be publishing an updated list each month, so if you’d like to receive these coupons then sign up for her feed.
She’s done a great job with this list. There are coupons on there from Silk, Stonyfield Farms, Arrowhead Mills, Bear Naked, Seventh Generation, and Earthbound Farm, among others. Definitely some good deals, so don’t miss this list!
This list is also a huge time-saver for the rest of us. Instead of searching online for organic food coupons one by one, Gayle has taken all the effort out and done it for us. She’s going to get tons of karma credits for this.
Click here to get to Gayle’s list of organic food coupons. And, thanks to Gayle for compiling this awesome list (and letting me know about it!).

This is terrific! I used to be a major coupon clipper, but once I started buying products that were healthier and more ecologically and socially responsible, like you, I found there just weren’t any coupons for those items. I going over to check out Gayle’s list now.
Thanks!
Yeah, it’s awesome that Gayle is doing this. I’m signing up too!
I do hate that coupons are usually for junk that shouldn’t be bought anyway, and what makes it terrible is that you’re pressured into buying more of it.
That’s a cool list, and I’ve not yet converted into buying organic most of the time, I’m sure a list like this might tip me in that direction. Thanks for the heads up about resources like these!
That photo of the tomatoes is making me really hungry! What I would do right now for some fresh tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and some feta on the side… Anyhow, I digress… thanks for the link. I hope that it will help us all visit the natural foods isle a little more often!
