EcoSmart's Organic Bug Spray

EcoSmart's Organic Bug Spray

I have happy news!

The folks over at EcoSmart have volunteered to sponsor a contest here at The Greenest Dollar. They’ve offered to give away their organic insecticide to 5 lucky winners.

I just reviewed their products last week, which you can see here. I was amazed at how well these bug sprays worked, and am so happy that some of you will be able to try them as well!

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post. The contest will run until Sunday, May 17. Next Monday, I’ll randomly select 5 winners using Random.org.

Please make sure you leave your email address when you fill out the comment box! That’s the only way I’ll be able to contact the winners.

Good luck!

I wrote you an email a few months back letting you know how much I love your blog, and I just wanted you to know I am still a regular reader! I would love to try this product when I go camping this summer!

I would be amazed to find a natural bug spray that really works, I just let them bite me and don’t scratch!

Finally, an organic insect repellant in a spray–I would really like to try this. We have horrible mosquitos in the summer!

Hi Heather,
I found your blog from the comment you left on Seventh Generation. I love what you are doing here – educating readers about being green and living a frugal life. They go hand in hand, don’t you think? Please visit my blog when you have a chance. 🙂

Ohio in the summer is incredibly buggy and I am allergic to mosquito bites! I would love to get this product.

I would love to try an organic bug repellant, but haven’t found one locally.

Ashley May 13, 2009 at 5:25 pm

The bugs love me, so I HAVE to enter and (hopefully) get to try a sample of this stuff you so rave about 🙂

I can’t stand the smell and chemicals that comes with regular bug repellent/killer products. These look like a good alternative.

Hey Heather,

Looks like great stuff. I’ve been searching for a bug spray that will be safe for my kids and effective as well. This stuff sounds great.

I’d love to try it. It got pretty buggy (flys in the sun, mosquitoes in the shade) at the farm while working on my tiny free house last summer. I expect it to be worse this year… they’ve got organic feed corn in the field this year… which requires lots of water… which means lots of bugs. I pray the random selection gods will work in my favor.

My family and I have been loving this blog since I stumbled across it months ago– and of course we would love to have this bug spray when we go camping this summer! 🙂

My daughter spends 3 weeks at a outdoors type summer camp. I would love to try this product. We currently use REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus and it works great but it has a very strong odor. Thanks for all the great reviews!

Mmm, a tempting challenge indeed! I just want something that won’t overwhelm my senses =)

I actually didn’t believe such a thing existed, organic bug spray that is. I found this site just last week when I googled it!

SavvyChristine May 15, 2009 at 11:17 am

I’d love to try it. We’re having an indoor/outdoor wedding next month, and I’d like to be able to offer my guests an alternative to DEET-laden bug spray. Thanks!

This actually sounds like a product I would love. Generally, I hate using bug spray because of the way it feels and SMELLS. Thanks for the follow on Twitter! 🙂

dunrie May 16, 2009 at 12:42 pm

Would love to test it out on the black flies up north! 😉

Jon May 16, 2009 at 9:31 pm

This stuff looks great. We have an ant problem, but can’t stand the chemicals. It smells great and has worked like a charm so far.

I just read about EcoSmart, and ordered some products. Hope they are as good as they sound!
