Bought one for my mom - she adores it too. She used to wash my dad's work-hats, and dry them on coffee cans to help them keep their shape. With all of my son's various caps (I have 4 boys), it sure was a great tip, and saved a lot of money on replacing them. As to the cottage cheese standing it on end, do that with anything that you want to preserve longer (such as left-overs you put into a container), it keeps the air out - that's one tip I got from the Digest, and use it for anything that might spoil in the refrigerator. Sad to see that Readers' Digest filed for Chapter 11 this week - hard to believe; they've been a part of my life and my parent's life for so many many years.........
